Never let your cell phone, or your iPod run out of batteries—just plug them into your shirt, walk move around a bit, and they’ll be good to go! This is the claim a group of U.S. scientists made recently in the journal, “Nature”. They have invented a fabric that, if made into a shirt, could harness power generated from someone simply walking around in the shirt—or even from a slight breeze. The scientists, based at the Georgia Institute of Technology, used the semiconductive properties of zinc oxide nanowires to design the fabric.
