Office Workers Unite! To all you office jockeys out there, I feel your pain. But help is on the way. The secret of success lies in making the “most” of your time. Use all the down time you have to figure out ways to get what you want: a more comfortable chair, longer lunch breaks, more time off. I knew a guy who wore a neck brace just so he could sleep comfortably in his chair. Since he sat with his back to the door, all he had to do was put on his headphones place his fingers on his keyboard and drift off to sleep. It was funny until he developed real neck problems.
Another friend hid a web cam in the cubicle next to hers. Any time she was feeling frustrated all she had to do was tune in and watch her co-worker compulsively pick his nose, twirl his hair and smell his hands. Invasion of privacy? Maybe. But sometimes it’s easier to pretend you are staring in your own personal episode of the “Office.”

Never let your cell phone, or your iPod run out of batteries—just plug them into your shirt, walk move around a bit, and they’ll be good to go! This is the claim a group of U.S. scientists made recently in the journal, “Nature”. They have invented a fabric that, if made into a shirt, could harness power generated from someone simply walking around in the shirt—or even from a slight breeze. The scientists, based at the Georgia Institute of Technology, used the semiconductive properties of zinc oxide nanowires to design the fabric.
